Fibromyalgia and no immune system

Good Evening! I hope you all had a wonderful day today.. I didn't go to work. Darn head cold- gotta love when you have no immune system. Yes , that's part of fibromyalgia in my world too.
Some days just getting up can be a chore in and of itself.
I know you have fibro or know someone else who does. Or you wouldn't be here right?
Well, let me tell you, patience is definitely a virtue.
So is, being spontaneous.. Because I know for me, plans can be broken, because of pain, or just being too tired.
But at the same time, when you have them good days. you wanna go , go, go!
For me fibro affects my memory, I have pain show  up where it wants to for the day, I have days where I am tired no matter what I do. Sleep? what's that lol. Something that most people take for granted.
So, what are we to do?
Well, I know it seems ridiculous, you are hurting.. But get up and move. Exercise helps so much.
Yes even if you are in pain right  now.. Once you start moving and exercising it does help.
I have been  doing weights, treadmill, ab lounger (love that one, bad back so can still do sit ups),
and bike. No not all in a day , But I do try to do an hour at least 4 times a week.'
Liquids all day for me. I do not like water so I drink propel or Paul Newman's half lemonade and half tea. I think hydration  helps with pain as well.
Well, 6 a.m. comes early, so I am gonna go and lie down now.
You see I also have custody of my 10 year old granddaughter. So she keeps me moving too.
I have had her for 7 years and although it  is tough. I wouldn't want it any other day.
She is a compassionate, caring , wonderful girl and I love her to pieces :-)

Fibromyalgia

Hi, Let me Introduce myself a  bit first here.
My name is Angie, I am a mother, grandmother and I have had fibromyalgia for 20+ years.
It's a very frustrating thing to have, because it does not just show up with a few tests and pinpoint it as "yes this is what you have, look here at the results" no you go through test after test.
Nothing really shows up, all tests are just fine.
OK if I have nothing and I am fine than why do I have all these symptoms?
I even used to call it a garbage disease.
In my blog, I will keep  writing about my own experiences as well as posting things for you to look at, to read, and to learn about what it really is and how to make the best of it in your day to day life.
Feel free to ad  comments or leave links to other things you may have read and learned about this thing we call Fibromyalgia.
